Article Directories That Follow For Backlinks

I have been vigorously posting relevant articles to get backlinks but many article directories have the dreaded “no follow” which makes it worthless for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) but if the article directory is prominent then it can get your article the much needed visibility. However, these article directories are especially good for getting backlinks.

• EzineArticles: It feels like it takes forever to get an article to be approved here but this is a good place for backlinks. No direct affiliate links allowed but a top level domain can be redirected to an affiliate site but I’m not sure whether this strategy pays off.
• GoArticles: I love them because articles are approved straightaway. A little lax with affiliate links.
• ArticleDashboard: Takes time for approval but is vital for backlinks. No affiliate links allowed.
• Isnare: Again approval process is not short but is vital for backlinks. No affiliate links allowed.
• ArticleCity: Naked links like http://articlecity.com only, the approval process is not short. I am not sure how vital it would be for backlinks only via naked links but it is good for variety.
• Idea Marketers: Instant approval and backlinks as well. I managed to get my article Ewen Chia’s Autopilot Profits published instantly. Plus they are a little lax with affiliate links. Sweet!
• Site Reference: The articles have to be 500 words long and as far as I know only naked links are allowed. What I do not like about them is that they do not notify you whether your article is approved or declined.
• Amazines: Approvals are pretty fast and links are allowed only on resource box. No affiliate links allowed. They published my article Ewen Chia – Brilliant, Lucky Or Hardworking? very quickly. Pretty good but has too many ads for their own monetization.
• Article City: Approvals are not fast. No affiliate links allowed.
• Article Cube: Approvals take time, no affiliate links allowed and links are only to go in the resource box.
